Delegation of CUHK's Faculty of Law Visits SIIS

On August 28, 2026,Li Kaisheng, Vice President of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), met with a delegation led by The Honorable Bill Tang, Council Member of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and Legislative Councilor of the Hong Kong SAR. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as global governance and the rule of law concerning foreign affairs and exchanged views on strengthening practical cooperation between SIIS and CUHK's Faculty of Law.

The delegation was joined by Professor Xi Chao, Dean of CUHK Faculty of Law; Professor Miao Miao, Associate Dean (Education); Professor Stuart Hargreaves, Associate Dean (External Engagement); Anatole Boute, Programme Director of the LLM in Energy and Environmental Law; Mr. Elliot Fung, Programme Director of the Juris Doctor; and Emmy Lam, Assistant Registrar and Faculty Secretary.

SIIS participants included Dr. Mao Ruipeng, Deputy Director of the Department of Think Tank Development and Research Management; Dr. Zhang Jian, Secretary-General of the Center for Shanghai-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation; Dr. Cheng Baozhi, Senior Research Fellow of the Institute for Global Governance Studies; Dr. Zhang Qiyue, Assistant to the Director of the Institute for Global Governance Studies; and Dr. Tan Chenyi, Research Fellow of the Institute for International Strategic and Security Studies.
