British Ambassador to China Peter Wilson Visits SIIS

On July 17, 2026, Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of the Academic Advisory Council of the Shanghai Institute for International Studies (SIIS), met with H.E. Peter Wilson, British Ambassador to China, and his delegation. The two sides held in-depth exchanges on the development of China-UK relations and global AI governance.

Barbara Amono-Oceng, Deputy Consul General of the British Consulate-General in Shanghai, and Rammy Bains, Public Policy Consul, accompanied the Ambassador on the visit.

Huang Fangfang, Deputy Director of the Department of International Exchanges, and Zhang Chong, Research Fellow of the Institute for World Economy Studies at SIIS, attended the meeting.
