Delegation from the Policy Center for the New South Visits SIIS

On April 27, 2026, the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS) hosted a delegation from the Moroccan think tank, Policy Center for the New South. The delegation was led by Professor Karim El Aynaoui, Executive President of the Policy Center for the New South and Vice President of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University.

Professor Li Kaisheng, Vice President of SIIS, welcomed the delegation. During the meeting, both sides engaged in an in-depth exchange of views on a range of topics, including China-Africa cooperation, Africa's economic development, and the restructuring of global supply chains.

Professor Aziz Ajbilou, Professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University and former Deputy Secretary General of the Morocco’s Ministry of Economy and Finance, accompanied the delegation. From SIIS, participants included Dr. Niu Haibin, Director of the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies; Dr. Ye Yu, Acting Director of the Institute for World Economy Studies; and Dr. Zhou Yuyuan, Director of the Center for African Studies.
