Delegation from ISAS-NUS Visits SIIS

On the morning of April 24, 2026, a delegation led by Professor Tan Tai Yong, Chairman of the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and President of the Singapore University of Social Sciences, visited the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS). Li Kaisheng, Vice President of SIIS, met with the delegation.

The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on such topics as the transformation of the international landscape, reform of multilateral mechanisms, new technologies and global governance, China-India relations and regional cooperation, and reached broad consensus on deepening think tank exchanges, joint research and young scholars exchange programs.

The delegation also included Associate Professor Iqbal Singh Sevea, Director of ISAS-NUS, and Dr. Ivan Lidarev, Visiting Research Fellow at ISAS-NUS. Liu Zongyi, Director of the Center for South Asian Studies of SIIS, as well as Assistant Research Fellows Tan Chenyi, Zhang Xiaoyin and Wu Mengke, attended the discussion.
