Delegation Led by MTI Director-General Adrian Ng Visits SIIS

On March 11, 2026, a delegation led by Adrian Ng, Director-General for Asia, Middle East and Africa at Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), visited the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS). Prof. Li Kaisheng, Vice President of SIIS, received the delegation. The two sides exchanged views on China’s domestic economic outlook, China–U.S. economic and trade relations, and priorities for China’s upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan.

The delegation also included Edna Tan, Director of the Northeast Asia Division at MTI; Toh Yi Zhang, Senior Assistant Director (Team Lead) of the Northeast Asia Division at MTI; Chia Jia-En, Assistant Director of the Northeast Asia Division at MTI; and Soon Yi Rui, Vice Consul (Political) at the Consulate General of Singapore in Shanghai.

Participants from SIIS included Ye Yu, Deputy Director (Acting) of the Institute for World Economy Studies; Wang Yuzhu, Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for World Economy Studies; and Jiang Lixiao and Ye Nan, Research Fellows at the same institute.
