Treasurer of Dhaka University Mohammad Jahangir Alam Chowdhury Had a Conversation with Prof. Chen Dongxiao

In the afternoon of September 22, 2025, Prof. Chen Dongxiao, President of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), met with Prof. Mohammad Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Treasurer of Dhaka University and Professor of Department of Finance, Dhaka University. President Chen extended his warm welcome to Prof. Chowdhury. He firstly briefly introduced the history and recent achievements of SIIS, and asked about Prof. Chowdhury’s experience in China. Afterwards, the two sides exchanged views on cooperation between think tanks and universities, China-Bangladesh-Pakistan relations, etc.

 Participants from SIIS included Liu Zongyi, Director of the Center for South Asian Studies, and Tan Chenyi, Research Fellow of the Center for South Asian Studies.
