Deputy State Secretary of Hungary Dr. Márton Ugrósdy Visits SIIS

On September 25, 2025, Prof. Chen Dongxiao, President of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), met with Dr. Márton Ugrósdy, Deputy State Secretary of Hungary and the Head of the Office of the Prime Minister’s Political Director. The two sides exchanged views on EU-China relations in light of the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations, China’s assessment of the EU Global Strategy, EU-China cooperation and Hungary-China economic cooperation.

Dr. Márton Ugrósdy was accompanied by Mr. David Petz, Consul of Economic Policy at the Consulate General of Hungary in Shanghai.

SIIS participants included Dr. Zhao Long, Deputy Director of the Institute for International Strategic and Security Studies, Dr. Ye Yu, Deputy Director of the Institute for World Economy Studies, Dr. Long Jing, Deputy Director of the Center for European Studies, and Dr. Jiang Zunze, Research Fellow of the Center for European Studies.
