Treasurer of Dhaka University Mohammad Jahangir Alam Chowdhury Visits SIIS

In the afternoon of September 12, 2025, Prof. Li Kaisheng, Vice President of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), met with Prof. Mohammad Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Treasurer of Dhaka University and Professor of Department of Finance, Dhaka University. The two sides exchanged views on the economic situation in Bangladesh, China-Bangladesh relations, think tank cooperation, etc. Professor Chowdhury will serve as senior visiting scholar at SIIS during the period of September 11-30.

Participants from SIIS included Liu Zongyi, Director of the Center for South Asian Studies, and Tan Chenyi, Research Fellow of the Center for South Asian Studies.
