Former Australian Foreign Minister Bob Carr Visits SIIS

On September 5, 2025, Prof. Chen Dongxiao, President of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), met with Bob Carr, former Foreign Minister of Australia and Professor at the University of Technology Sydney. The two sides exchanged views on China–Australia relations, China–U.S. relations, and the broader international situation.

Participants from SIIS included Wu Chunsi, Director of the Center for American Studies; Tong Liqun, Deputy Director of the Institute for Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macao Studies; Li Yanliang, Research Fellow of the Center for Southeast Asian Studies; and Sun Shasha from the Department of International Exchanges.
