Delegation from Institute for Political and International Studies Visits SIIS

On July 27, 2025, H.E. Mr. Saeed Khatibzadeh, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran and President of the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS), accompanied by Mr. Khalil Shirgholami, Vice President of IPIS, visited the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS). They were received by Prof. Li Kaisheng, Vice President of SIIS, who hosted a roundtable discussion with the delegation. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on bilateral relations and future cooperation between the two institutes.

Also present during the visit were Mr. Ali Mohammadi, Consul General of Iran in Shanghai, and other accompanying officials. Representing SIIS at the meeting were: Zhao Long, Deputy Director of the Institute for International Strategic and Security Studies; Jin Liangxiang and Zhou Yiqi, Senior Research Fellows at the Center for West Asia and African Studies.
