Counsellor of the Embassy of Denmark Visits SIIS

On the afternoon of April 7, 2025, Mr. Kristian Frey Jensen, Counsellor and Head of the Governance Team at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark to China, visited the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS). Dr. Yang Jian, Senior Research Fellow at the SIIS Institute for Global Governance Studies received the Denmark delegation.

The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on key issues such as China-Denmark relations, polar cooperation, as well as sustainable development.

The Danish delegation also included Mr. Jacob S. Isbosethsen, Minister and Head of Greenland Representation in Beijing; Mr. Aki Johansen, Minister and Head of Representation of the Faroe Islands; and Mr. Frederik Michael Visti von Jessen, First Secretary at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark to China

From SIIS, Dr. Zhao Long, Deputy Director of the Institute for International Strategy and Security Studies; Dr. Zhang Pei and Dr. Zheng Yingqin, both Research Fellows at the Center for Maritime and Polar Studies, also joined the meeting.
