Cuban Consul General Mileidy Aguirre Díaz Visits SIIS

On the afternoon of March 19, 2025, Ms. Mileidy Aguirre Díaz, Consul General of Cuba in Shanghai, visited the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS). Professor Chen Dongxiao, President of SIIS, received the Cuban delegation. 

The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on key issues such as China-Latin America relations, Cuba-U.S. relations, and China-U.S. relations, as well as prospects for future bilateral exchanges and cooperation.

The Cuban delegation also included Mr. Raúl Garrigó Echevarria, a Consulate staff member, and Ms. Li Yun, a Chinese assistant. Dr. Niu Haibin, Director of the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies, Dr. Lou Xiangfei, Senior Fellow of the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies, Dr. Huang Fangfang, Deputy Director of the Department of International Exchanges and Dr. Lai Yuan, Research Fellow of the Center for Latin American Studies participated in the discussions.
