Former World Bank President Robert Zoellick Visits SIIS

On the afternoon of March 9, 2025, Chen Dongxiao, President of SIIS, met with Robert B. Zoellick, former President of the World Bank, former U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, and Senior Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University. 

During the discussion, Mr. Zoellick briefly introduced the purpose and key themes of his new book, America in the World: A History of U.S. Diplomacy and Foreign Policy. He expressed hope that the Chinese edition would allow more readers in China to better understand the history of U.S. diplomacy and foreign policy. President Chen Dongxiao praised the book’s academic value, emphasizing that China and the United States should deepen mutual understanding and learn from history to promote the stable and healthy development of bilateral relations. 

After the meeting, a book signing and presentation ceremony was held.
