Delegation from the Chulalongkorn University Visits SIIS

On March 3, 2025, a study tour group from the Master’s Program in International Relations at Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Political Science, led by Assistant Dean Pongphisoot Busbarat, visited the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS). Professor Chen Dongxiao, President of SIIS, met with Professor Busbarat and accompanying faculty representatives, extending a warm welcome to the delegation. President Chen emphasized the importance of deepening practical cooperation through academic exchanges and youth engagement. 

During the subsequent academic exchange session, Dr. Zhou Shixin, Director of the Center for Southeast Asian Studies at SIIS, along with Assistant Research Fellows Dr. Li Yanliang and Dr. Wang Tianchan, delivered keynote speeches on topics including China-Thailand cooperation, regional security, and digital governance. The event featured an active Q&A session, with enthusiastic participation from both Thai students and SIIS graduate students, fostering a lively and engaging atmosphere.

In his closing remarks, Professor Busbarat noted that this year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand. He highlighted the profound significance of this exchange as an important initiative to promote people-to-people ties between the two countries. He expressed hope for more such opportunities in the future, aiming to further enhance mutual understanding and friendship through joint efforts.
