Professor Yang Jiemian visited Hong Kong attending the 5th U.S. - China Hong Kong Forum
2024/11/19During November 14 - 16, Professor Yang Jiemian, Chairman of SIIS Academic Advisory Council, was invited to attend the U.S. - China Hong Kong Forum hosted by the China - United States Exchange Foundation and the China Center for International Economic Exchanges. The forum’s theme this year was “Reflection and Forecast”.
Prof. Yang shared his views on the panel of “what are the risks and challenges shaping the state of the world” and gave suggestions to the young students who were from both mainland China and Hong Kong.
Alongside the event, Mr. Chang Hong, one of leading members at the China - U.S. Focus, interviewed Prof. Yang about the China - U.S. relations.
Acting Chief Executive Mr. Chan Kwok-ki delivered his speech at the welcome dinner of the forum, urging the participants to consider prospects and possibilities for expanding China - U.S. cooperation.
At the second day of the forum, Prof. Yang spoke on the science and technology nowadays including the AI. The forum was successfully closed on November 16.
