Dr. Nguyen Hung Son Leads DAV Delegation to Visit SIIS

On September 25, 2024, SIIS President Chen Dongxiao met with the visiting delegation from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, led by Vice President Dr. Nguyen Hung Son. The two sides engaged in an in-depth exchange of views on great power competition, regional security, as well as the China-Vietnam relations.

Members of the DAV delegation also included Dr. Bui Truong Giang, Deputy Head, Central Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of Vietnam; Amb. Pham Quang Vinh, former Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Vietnam's ASEAN SOM Leader; Prof. Nguyen Vu Tung, former President of Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, etc. SIIS participants also included Dr. Shao Yuqun, Director, Institute for Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macao Studies; Dr. Ye Yu, Deputy Director, Institute for World Economy Studies; Dr. Zhou Shixin, Director, Center for Southeast Asian Studies; and Dr. Li Yanliang, Assistant Research Fellow.
