2024 Bangladesh Young Leaders Delegation Visits the Shanghai Municipal Government Press Conference Hall

In the afternoon of June 4, 2024, the 2024 Bangladesh Young Leaders Delegation to China visited the Shanghai Municipal Government Press Conference Hall for study. The delegation members had in-depth exchanges and interactions with the leaders of the Information Office of Shanghai Municipality and the heads of relevant departments.

At the symposium, Chen Dongxiao, President of Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), first briefly introduced the delegation. Then, Yin Xin, Director of the Information Office of Shanghai Municipality and Spokeswoman of the Shanghai Municipal Government, gave a detailed introduction to the history and recent development of Shanghai’s news release as well as relevant media services. She also welcomed the delegation by quoting the poem My Golden Bengal by Rabindranath Tagore.

Through interaction and communication, the delegation members and the representatives of the Information Office of Shanghai Municipality exchanged ideas on issues such as the interactivity and narrative methods of press conferences and the impact of news releases on government decision-making.
