Delegation of Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Visits SIIS

On March 5, 2024, Mr. Andrew Weiss, Vice President for Studies of Carnegie Endowment for International Peace visited Shanghai Institutes for International Studies upon invitation. Accompanying him were Dr. Eugene Rumer, Director of Russia Eurasia Program, and Mr. Alexander Gabuev, Director of the Carnegie Russia Eurasia Center in Berlin. Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of SIIS Academic Advisory Council, met with the delegation and exchanged views on China-U.S. relations.

Dr. Shao Yuqun, Director of the Institute for Taiwan, Hongkong & Macao Studies, Dr. Wu Chunsi, Director of the Institute for International Strategic and Security Studies, and Dr. Zhao Long, Deputy Director of the Institute for Global Governance Studies attended the meeting. The delegation exchanged views with SIIS experts on China-U.S.-Europe interactions in the context of regional conflicts.
