Delegation of Central American Journalists Visited SIIS

On December 19, 2023, a delegation led by Byron Barrera, a veteran Central American journalist and president of the Guatemalan Journalists Association, visited the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS). Dr. Niu Haibin, Director of the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies of SIIS, met with the delegation. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on China's experience in pursuing sustainable development, China's path of political integration of ethnic groups, China-Latin America relations in the political and economic perspectives, and China's relations with Guatemala.

Dr. Lou Xiangfei, Senior Research Fellow of the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies, and Dr. Lai Yuan, Research Fellow of the Institute for Taiwan, Hongkong & Macao Studies participated in the discussion.
