Acting Consul General of Australia in Shanghai Gerald Thomson Visits SIIS

On August 15, 2023, Prof. Yan Anlin, Chairman of SIIS Academic Affairs Council met with Mr. Gerald Thomson, Acting Consul General of Australia in Shanghai. The two sides had a discussion on current cross-Straits relations, the situation in the Taiwan Strait and regional security etc.

Mr. Jordan Aitken, political and economic consul of the Consulate General of Australia in Shanghai, Ms. Zhu Juhua, director of the department of international exchanges and Dr. Li Yanliang, research fellow of the institute for foreign policy studies of SIIS also participated in the meeting.
