Delegation of Exchanges and Mutual Learning among Civilizations Visits SIIS

On July 10, 2023, the delegation of exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations led by Fernando Leon Jacomino, Vice-Minister of Culture of Cuba, visited the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies. The delegation was composed of culture, law, education and media professionals coming from Cuba, Brazil, Mexico, Switzerland, Kenya, Nepal, Mauritius, the United States and France.

Professor Yang Jiemian, SIIS’s Academic Advisory Council met with the delegation and chaired the dialogue. Professor Yang gave a lecture on “Chinese Path to Modernization and Chinese Civilization’s Creative Development” and exchanged views with the delegation on topics such as China in a multi-polarized world.

Dr. Li Hongmei, Dr. Zhang Qiyue, Dr. Lai Yuan and Dr. Zhang Chong from SIIS joined the dialogue.
