Undersecretary of State in the Foreign Ministry of Poland visits SIIS

On April 20, 2023, Professor Chen Dongxiao, President of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies met with Mr. Wojciech Gerwel, undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland. The two sides had a discussion on the security situation in Europe& Asia, China-EU relations, China- CEEC cooperation and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine etc. 

Mr. Wojciech Gerwel paid the working visit at the invitation of the Chinese Foreign Ministry and was accompanied by Mr. Wojciech Zajączkowski, Ambassador of Poland in China, Mr. Michat Skrzek, Head of China Division in the Asia and Pacific Department of MFA and Ms. Karolina Swiderska-Florczyk, third Secretary of the Embassy of Poland in China. Ms. Zhu Juhua, Director of the Department of International Exchanges, Prof. Zhang Yinghong, Director of the Center for European Studies, Dr. Long Jing, Deputy Director of the Center for European Studies and Prof. Zhao Long, Deputy Director of the Institute for Global Governance Studies participated in the meeting.
