April 26, John L. Thornton, Chair of the Board, the Brookings Institution, visited SIIS. He expressed his congratulation on the 50th anniversary of the founding of SIIS and talked with President Yang Jiemian about the international issues of their common interest. Vice President Chen Dongxiao and research fellow Zhang Lu also attended the meeting.
