SIIS and Carnegie China Co-host "2025 Track II Dialogue: A New Framework for China-US Relations"

On April 27, 2025, the 2025 Track II Dialogue, co-hosted by the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS) and Carnegie China, was successfully held in Shanghai. Themed "A New Framework for China-US Relations," the dialogue brought together renowned experts and scholars from China and the United States for in-depth discussions on new dynamics in areas such as US-China economics, trade, and technology.

Chen Dongxiao, President of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, and Evan Feigenbaum, Vice President for Studies at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, delivered the opening remarks respectively.

In his remarks, President Chen Dongxiao emphasized the hope to achieve more concrete results through joint efforts, contributing to the establishment of a more stable and mutually beneficial relationship between China and the United States.

Vice President Evan Feigenbaum noted that the current international landscape is highly fragmented, and many countries are striving to cope, which changes the rules-based environment in which China and the US operate, thus requiring comprehensive consideration by researchers.

Following the opening remarks, participating experts engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including the development of China-US bilateral relations, China's regional relations and strategic adjustments, and economic and technological competition.
