Center for American Progress Delegation Visits SIIS

2023/06/23

On June 23, 2023, Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of the Academic Advisory Council of SIIS met with the delegation from the Center for American Progress (CAP). Prof. Yang said SIIS expected to better promote bilateral understanding through today’s dialogue and pointed out that climate change presented a common challenge that required coordinated bilateral efforts. In citing an old Chinese saying that acknowledges the fact that one may still get mediocre results even if he aims high, Prof. Yang called for early, thorough, and long-term planning and preparations, emphasizing that better China-U.S. relations would contribute to multilateral efforts to address global challenges.
