SIIS Co-organizes China-U.S. Dialogue on the Global Economic Order

On November 29 and December 2, 2022, the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies organized the China-U.S. Dialogue on the Global Economic Order in collaboration with the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE).

Professor Chen Dongxiao, President of SIIS, Mr. Matthew P. Goodman, Senior Vice President for Economics of CSIS, and Dr. Adam S. Posen, President of PIIE made opening and closing remarks on behalf of the three organizers.

About 30 Chinese and American scholars from the Institute of World Economics and Politics of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (IWEP-CASS), Peking University, Center for International Knowledge on Development (CIKD), University of International Business and Economics, Fudan University, SIIS, Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF), Boston University, Center for Global Development, Asia Society Policy Institute (ASPI), CSIS, PIIE, , etc. engaged in a lively discussion on challenges for global economic governance and areas where the U.S. and China can cooperate or coordinate actions in macro economy, finance, development and trade.
