SIIS-ANU held Roundtable on China and the Global Economic Order

On November 7, 2022, the delegation of Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS) led by President Chen Dongxiao visited Canberra, Australia and co-organized the Roundtable on China and the Global Economic Order and the launching event of SIIS report Big Y-Intersections:2022 Global Economic Order Report in collaboration with the Australian National University (ANU). President Chen Dongxiao of SIIS and Peter Drysdale, Emeritus Professor and Head of the East Asian Bureau of Economic Research and East Asia Forum at the Crawford School of Public Policy of ANU gave the opening and concluding remarks.

Wang Zhongmei, Director of the Institute for World Economy Studies of SIIS introduced the report on site at ANU. Other authors of the report, including Deputy Director Ye Yu, Dr. Wang Yuzhu, Dr. Xue Lei, and Dr. Jiang Lixiao, joined the roundtable virtually and gave a presentation of their chapters respectively. Over 20 experts and officials from ANU, Australia Prime Minister and Cabinet and Treasury, Lowy Institute, Chair AusPecc, National Foundation for Australia China Relations participated in the roundtable. This is the first time SIIS released its report aboard.
