Prof. Yang Jiemian and Prof. Wu Chunsi attend “Think Asia Forum” and deliver speeches

On 2nd November 2022, “Think Asia Forum”was successfully held by the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies, China Forum of the Center for International Security and Strategy at Tsinghua University and the East Asian Institute at the National University of Singapore.
The theme of the forum was “Asia in a complex world”and Mr. Yu Hongjun, former Deputy Minister of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the CPC and Kishore Mahbubani, former Singapore Permanent Representative to the UN, delivered keynote speeches.

Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of the Academic Advisory Council of SIIS and Prof. Wu Chunsi, Director of the Institute for International Strategic Studies of SIIS, were invited to attend the first session discussion and spoke around the topic on Asia’s challenges on the path to modernization. Other speakers included: Chen Wenling, Chief Economist at China Center for International Economic Exchanges, Eric Li, Vice Chairman of China Forum of Center for International Security and Strategy of Tsinghua University, Wirun Phichaiwongphakdee, Director of Thailand-China Research Center of the Belt and Road, Chen Dingding, President of Intellisia Institute, Miao Lv, Co-founder of Center for China and Globalization, Herman Tiu Laurel, Founder of Philippine-BRICS Strategic Studies, Chen Gang, Deputy Director of the East Asian Institute at National University of Singapore.
