SIIS Co-organizes China-U.S. Dialogue on the Global Economic Order

On July 12 and 15, 2022, the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies organized the China-U.S. Dialogue on the Global Economic Order in collaboration with the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), International Economics and Finance Institute (IEFI), Institute of World Economics and Politics of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (IWEP-CASS) and Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE).

Professor CHEN Dongxiao, President of SIIS, Mr. Matthew P. Goodman, Senior Vice President for Economics of CSIS, Ms. ZHANG Minwen, Deputy Director General of IEFI, Dr. YAO Zhizhong, Deputy Director of IWEP-CASS, and Dr. Adam S. Posen, President of PIIE made opening and closing remarks on behalf of the four organizers.

About 30 Chinese and American scholars from Peking University, Center for International Knowledge on Development (CIKD), University of International Business and Economics, Fudan University, IWEP-CASS, IEFI, SIIS, Boston University, Center for Global Development, Asia Society Policy Institute (ASPI), CSIS, PIIE, Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF), etc. engaged in a lively discussion on challenges for global economic governance and areas where the U.S. and China can cooperate or coordinate action in macro finance, development and trade.
