SIIS President Chen Dongxiao attended the 10th World Peace Forum

On 3^rd July 2022, the 10^th World Peace Forum, themed on "Preserving International Stability: Commonality, Comprehensiveness and Cooperation", was convened in Beijing. The Forum is organized by Tsinghua University and supported by the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs. Prof. Chen Dongxiao, President of Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, was invited to attend the group discussion as a speaker on the afternoon of 4^th July 2022.

 

“The US Indo-Pacific Strategy and Its Implications on Regional Security” was the session topic. Prof. Xie Tao, Dean of School of International Relations and Diplomacy at Beijing Foreign Studies University, was moderator for the discussion. Other speakers included Ambassador Shivshankar Menon, Professor and Chair of the Ashoka Centre for China Studies at Ashoka University; Honorable Bob Carr, former Foreign Minister of Australia; Dr. Chung-in Moon, former Special Advisor to the ROK President for foreign affairs and national security; Ambassador Ong Keng Yong, former Secretary-General of ASEAN; Prof.Zhou Fangyin, Dean of School of International Relations in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.
