President Chen Dongxiao Attended the Seventh CICA Business Forum

 On June 27, 2022, as the inaugural chair of the CICA Think Tank Forum, SIIS was invited to participate in the Seventh CICA Business Forum. President Chen Dongxiao delivered a keynote speech entitled “The Asianization of the Global Economy: Challenges and Prospect” at the panel discussion on “Ensuring Food Security in a Changed Environment in Asia”.

The Forum was moderated by Mr. Ayan Yerenov, Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan. Participants of the Panel also included H.E. Dr. Pornchai Danvivathana, Secretary General of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue; Md. Habibur Rahman Hosaini, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Food of Bangladesh; and H.E. Mr. Ebrahim Alabdulla, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Forum was held in Astana, Kazakhstan. The meeting adopted a hybrid format and was attended by members of the Board of Directors of the CICA Business Council and more than 150 representatives of governments, financial institutions, enterprises and embassies of CICA member countries in Kazakhstan.
