Yang Jiemian and his fellow SIIS scholars, ten in all, have written this monograph upon in-depth inquiry on the international terrorism and contemporary IR with an eye on the 9/11. The book has scrutinized the origin and definition of terrorism, the evolution of the international terrorism, and the near inducement as well as root-causes of the latter. Besides, the book has also examined the responses taken by U.S., Europe, Japan, South Asia and Middle East, summed up the general situation of international counter-terrorism and international interactions, and shed light on the new change of international relations.
