 Dr. JIANG Xiyuan, Senior Fellow of the Department of International Organization and International Law at the SIIS . He was born in October 1952, and received his Ph.D. in history of Sino-U.S relations in 1992 from Zhong shan University.  Previously, he got his M.A. in 1987 from Foreign Affairs College in Beijing, majored in history of international relations. He was deputy director of the Asian-Pacific Studies and Strategic Studies Department at the SIIS.  His major academic publications include: The Taiwan Issue in the World Configuration: Changes & Challenges (co-author), International Terrorism & Contemporary International Relations (co-author).He is the author of Grand Strategies of Major Powers & China’s Future (2003), and Peaceful Rise of China (2004, co-authored with Xia Liping).
