Haibin Niu received his Ph.D. in international relations at Fudan University in 2006. Currently he is a research fellow at the Department for American Studies and deputy director of the Center for Latin America Studies, Shanghai Institute for International Studies. Dr. Niu’s publications include “Regionalism in Asia: a Constructivist Explanation”, “Three Variables of European Governance: Sovereignty, Democracy and Identity” and “Beyond Zero-Sum, Towards Win-Win: Comparative Analysis of Sino-US National Interests after the Iraq War”, “Debates on China’s International Responsibilities”, etc. He is currently working on Brazil’s foreign policy and cooperation among major developing countries.
